Muay Thai or Thai Boxing
For any fan of martial arts or a fitness enthusiast, a Muay Thai course is a great way
to catch up on your training regimen (no doubt you’ve let it slip the minute you
boarded that plane to Asia). Developed over centuries ago, it is a traditional form
of close combat that conditions you to use your entire body as a weapon.
And unlike other martial arts, where a few extra pounds won’t make a difference,
Muay Thai puts an emphasis on cardio as well. If you see young men or women
running in the morning- or evening hours in Thailand, rest assured there is a gym
nearby, making its fighters run to stay in shape.
Having attended several Muay Thai fights, the one thing that stands out very clearly
when you get involved with Muay Thai, is that you are witnessing an ancient
tradition. The men and women who dedicate their lives to this beautiful sport
exhibit noble traits like discipline, perseverance and relentless stamina.
Being surrounded by Thai fighters and having Thai trainers instruct you on the
various techniques only adds to the atmosphere and you are guaranteed to take
away some new tricks and techniques, whether they are fitness- or combat-related.
if you are interested in booking several lessons, a schedule can easily be set up for
you, and we will also accommodate private lessons if that is what you are looking for.
